Proiecte de cercetare
1. PN-II-ID-PCE-2012-4-0398: Nou concept de fabricare a electrozilor conductori, transparenti si flexibili pe baza de nanofire de argint/polianilina pentru celule solare
dezvoltarea de electrozi transparenti, conductori si flexibili prin inlocuirea stratului uzual de oxid de indiu si staniu (ITO) folost in constructia celulelor solare cu un strat compozit de polianilina / nanofire de argint.

2. SEMPAR: Senzori microporosi cu polianilina functionalizata cu grupari pendante, material inovativ utilizabil în identificarea si controlul maladiei Parkinson
Dopamina este o amină biogenică care acţionează ca neuro-transmiţător în creier, implicată în controlul motricităţii – absenţa sa duce la rigiditatea muşchilor, reducerea vitezei mişcărilor şi tremur în stare de repaus. Scăderea concentraţiei de dopamină sub 10 nM indică o boală neuro-degenerativă – ca Parkinson sau schizofrenia.
Detectarea cu precizie a dopaminei la astfel de concentraţii a rămas o problemă de actualitate la nivel mondial chiar dacă în ultimii 30 de ani s-au făcut progrese semnificative în tratarea maladiei. Principala problemă este depistarea precoce a bolii datorată inexistenţei unor metode de laborator rapide şi suficient de sensibile pentru monitorizarea dopaminei.
Scopul proiectului
Realizarea unui biosenzor microporos cu structură şi morfologie controlată (folosit la dozarea dopaminei), obţinut prin depunerea electrochimică a unor filme de polianilină funcţionalizată cu grupări pendante de tip acid boronic pe un suport original - Ni scheletat/ nichel Raney.
Estimarea prin metode de calcul mecano-cuantice (metoda Monte-Carlo) a răspunsului senzorial al electrodului realizat, la diverşi compuşi biomoleculari susceptibili de a fi dozaţi în organismul uman. Se va simula prin această metodă mecanismul de conducţie electronică în sisteme extinse de structuri cu orbitali p delocalizaţi pentru polianilina simplă şi self-doped (funcţionalizată), şi vor fi proiectate structuri moleculare care să maximizeze răspunsul electrozilor realizaţi. Rezultatele simulării vor fi comparate cu datele experimentale obţinute şi se va „ajusta” structura polimerului depus electrochimic astfel încât să corespundă scopului pentru care a fost creat biosenzorul.
